Through the works of Edward Kritzler and other modern sources, we will tell the tale of an unlikely group of swashbuckling Jews who ransacked the high seas in the aftermath of the Spanish Inquisition. In ships bearing names such as the Prophet Samuel, Queen Esther, and King Solomon, they attacked and plundered the Spanish fleet while forming alliances with other European powers to ensure the safety of Jews in hiding.

The month of Elul is an opportunity to improve relationships. While most of us spend our time focusing on our relations with family members, friends, colleagues, etc. what about our relationship with God? What if we could radically change our way of understanding or relating to God? What if we shifted the way we experience God? How might this impact our experience of the often distant liturgical references to God during the High Holy Days? Are you ready to repair your relationship with God? Join me.

Our breath is the energy of our life force, and the Kabbalah shows us the way our life force develops. When we rest our mind, we give rest to our body. For this purpose, this series will explore various relaxation techniques, as guided by the Kabbalah. These self-care enhancements will support your enjoyment of Shabbats and weekends and will prepare you for the busyness of fall and the High Holy Days.
