MiDor l' Dor - From Generation to Generation (Kgn / 1st Grade)
Learning as a Family
Jewish Holidays and Customs
Living Jewish Values
Building Jewish Community
This foundational program builds community among families with children in kindergarten and first grade. Etz Chayim parents of older children frequently remark on the lasting family-to-family connections forged when they were in Midor together. Midor meets on Sunday mornings. Some sessions include a parent-facilitated discussion around raising children and teaching Jewish values and traditions. Our Director of Learning is available to work with parents when it is their turn to lead this conversation. Through stories, games, art, dance, music, food, cooking and more, Midor students experience Jewish holidays, history, values, prayer, culture, customs, traditions and Israel. Hebrew vocabulary is taught through songs, games, movement, prayer and blessings.
Midor families also share communal Shabbat experiences at the synagogue and in their homes.
Tuition: $1050 for Etz Chayim members, $1250 for all others
Midor meets from 9:30 to noon on Sundays.
