Handworkers Quiltathon (Doubletree)

Sunday, October 2, 2011 4 Tishrei 5772

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
We still have one quilt top left to tie from our last quilt-a-thon and plenty more fabric and batting left to make many more quilts.

Rabbi Valerie Joseph is the Jewish chaplain at the VA and unfortunately, she always has clients who need quilts to cheer them up. Many of these Vets spent months at the hospital in a variety of programs far from home, and many are not bedridden.

One of our recipients just sent a lovely thank you note for her quilt! She spent many months here, far from her home in the MidWest, and she even joined us for services once, and came with Preeva to my guild's quilt show last April as she is a quilter herself. She just went home earlier a few weeks ago.

So your efforts are much appreciated!

No experience necessary, we'll show you how to tie a quilt, cut fabric and press cloth. And anyone can design!
