A growing number of companies are making contributions to non-profit organizations. All we have to do is ask. But we need your help. Please ask on behalf of your favorite synagogue – Etz. We have checked out these organizations, know them to be legitimate, and have actually received money from them.
Corporate Matching – many large companies have corporate matching programs. Some have a policy against giving to churches/synagogues, but some will give on the condition that their money is not used for religious purposes. We have a number of non-religious programs at Etz, such as our Tikkun Olam program and our anti-human-trafficking project, and are able to accept these funds. Apple, Genentech, Google, Kaiser, Merck, and VMWare have all made matching donations to Etz. Click here for a list of additional companies with that we are aware of having matching gift programs. If you work for another large company, please check with your company’s benefits department.
Keplers – Kepler’s, a local independent book seller, includes Congregation Etz Chayim in their Community Partners program. Mention Etz Chayim when you pay for your purchases and they will give us a 6% donation. Click here for additional information.
AmazonSmile – AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support Etz every time you shop, at no cost to you. To shop at AmazonSmile, simply go to smile.amazon.com. You’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection, and convenient shopping experience as amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to us. Just make sure you choose Congregation Etz Chayim on your first visit. Click here for additional information.
Selix Formalwear – Do you know anyone who’s getting married? Selix donates 10% of wedding tuxedo proceeds back to the church/synagogue where the service is performed or to your home church/synagogue.
