What do we mean when we talk about modernity in the context of modern art? It’s useful to consider modern Judaism. Art and Judaism were reshaped in the twentieth century, in ways both tragic and exhilarating, each driven by a world that was itself shaped by politics, technology, and historical interpretation. In this talk, we’re going to explore a handful of artists who each capture the spirit of a changing world as it’s changing, and examine how they each, in their own ways, reflect a deeply probing, deeply present, and deeply Jewish sensibility.

Prepare to be surprised by the Talmud! This ancient text, written by our Rabbis nearly 2,000 years ago, is filled with stories that still resonate with us today. You'll find inspiring, thought and heart provoking tales of love, jealousy, pride, competition, shaming, kindness, courage, relationships, and more.We will go on an interactive journey through some Talmud: we will explore some stories together and discuss their implications for our lives today.

Co-sponsoring with Kol Emeth. In this workshop we will explore how to be a true friend when others are facing difficult situations. Some of these are reflected in the Jewish mitzvot, such as visiting the ill, attending the shiva minyan, welcoming guests. Event will be held in person at Kol Emeth

Tech2Peace offers high-tech and entrepreneurial training combined with conflict dialogue for young Palestinians and Israelis, in partnership with organizations like Google for Startups, Microsoft, and MIT. CEO Hela Lahar, along with alumni Adnan and Michal (one Israeli, one Palestinian), will share updates on how youth from both sides are collaborating in high tech after October 7th to shape a new future.
