Etz Chayim has a lively and thriving book group that meets each month, usually on the third Sunday, from 10:30 until noon.
We read books with Jewish themes and/or by Jewish authors.
We take a short hiatus over the summer, although we do choose a summer selection which we then discuss at our first meeting in September.
Our meetings and book choices are detailed in the Congregation’s E-Bulletin and in Connections, but we also encourage you to become part of our email list which provides a bit more detail about our events as well as other items of interest to book lovers.
Come for the conversation and intellectual stimulation of discussing worthwhile reads, stay for the delicious book-themed snacks, and rejoice in the camaraderie of your fellow bibliophiles.
Our summer reading selection is A Super Sad True Love Story by Gary Shteyngart.
