| To bring to the Rabbi on the date of the Haftarah Study Session |
__________ How many copies of the Torah Booklet should we make?
To figure this out, add the number people are coming from your invitations who do not usually attend (don't include members of bar/t mitzvah class families)_____________ to the 50 or so congregants who regularly show up.
__________ Will it be a dress rehearsal? That is, will you be expecting to take pictures of the rabbi as well as of yourselves?
__________ Will you be videotaping the rehearsal? If so, be sure to have the videographer bring a separate microphone. Either the bar/t mitzvah should wear a radio lapel mike, or you should put small microphones on both the amud (podium) and the shulchan (Torah reader's desk).
Rules for photography/videotaping the rehearsal: there are no restrictions.
- You may have as many photographers as you wish at any time from any angles you wish.
- You may ask for video reshoots of anything you wish.
- If there were mistakes made, go ahead and reshoot over and over until we get it right.
- However, it is up to you to make the call, as the rabbi will not suggest a reshoot.
NOTE : The rehearsal will always end by 6PM, so if you plan complicated videography or still pictures, be sure to be there on time, with all items you will need (see the rehearsal checklist), and all family members dressed, present, and ready to begin.
You may arrange with the Administrative Director to arrive early for staged photography of the family.
